Am I required to buy all the books?
AIMR does not require candidates to purchase all books used in the curriculum, but we strongly believe that studying the prescribed curriculum is the best way to prepare for the examinations. Remember that the examinations are developed directly from the curriculum and are consistent with the Learning Outcome Statements (LOS) prescribed by AIMR.There is no substitute for studying the original material.
If I am a candidate, am I also an AIMR member?
No. Upon passing the Level III examination, candidates who wish to earn the CFA charter must first apply for membership in AIMR and an AIMR Member Society or Chapter if one is located within 50 miles (80 km)of candidate ’s place of business. When enrolling for Level III,AIMR strongly urges you to apply for membership in AIMR and an AIMR Member Society or Chapter so that your charter will not be delayed after you pass the Level III examination. You will find more information on AIMR membership on the AIMR Web site at www.aimr.org.
What if I do not have 36 months of acceptable work experience towards the CFA charter when I register for the CFA Program?
As long as you have met the entrance requirements for the CFA Program, you are eligible to sit for the examinations. Three years of acceptable work experience must be accrued before you can earn the charter. Work experience can be accrued before, during, or after passing Level III.
I’m calling for my boss. Can you tell me if you have received her candidate application and if she has been accepted?

When will I receive the examination results?
Level I results are usually distributed within 60 days of the examination date, and Level II and III results within 90 days. Therefore, your address, including your e-mail address, must be current at all times. |
